16 oz can to glass courtesy of my brother in law. The pour is a clear golden with a ton of fine carbonation bubbles building up a white foam half inch white head that is lasting. The aroma is cereal grain, wet hay and the slightest bit of lemon. The taste is bright grain, floral, the hay and some lime to the finish. The palate is light bodied with active fizzy carbonation and a crisp, mostly clean, finish. Solid simple Lager.

Overall dreadful IPA, more in line with a modest pale ale than anything resembling a hop bomb. Biscuit and caramel malts with a moderate fruitiness are the defining characteristics; hops provide a smidgen of citrus, a hint of bitterness, but come on. IPA? Nah. Hard pass.

Can: Clear....amber/gold with a large white head. Caramel, grain scent. Taste is light....caramel malt, a bit of toasted bread.....very little in the way of Oktoberfest spicing or richness....nothing awful here, just runs to the bland side. To paraphrase Yosemite Sam: "A would-be Hessian Session without no aggression....."
