Keg at BD Clerkenwell, 05/05/23. More hidden away Collabfest '22 kegs! Black topped with a khaki head. Nose is dark fruit rinds, herb, dark malts, spice, stewed fruits. Taste comprises fruit balsams, dry rot, funk, hedgerow, light spice, vinous tones. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced puckering close. Not bad.

Draught. Pitch black colour with a small beigeish brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, toffee, liquorice and mild toffee tones. Flavour is liquorice, alcohol, some sweet malts, toffee, fudge and mild dried fruity and some plummy tones to it.

Bottled. Hazy yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is mild tart fruity tones with some wood and mild Riesling like tones. Flavour is tart wood, some slight sourness, mild herbs, earth and some funk to it. Long wooden somewhat dry palate and aftertaste.

Bottled. Deep brown colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is alcohol, cognal, some toasted fudge, caramel malts and mild acidity. Flavour is wooden tartness, some alcohol, toasted fudge, caramel and dried fruit. Somewhat dry in the finish.
