Bomber. Aroma is fleeting orange circus peanut, roasty, vanilla, maple. Pours dark dark brown, nearly black, with ruby red highlights and a one finger beige head with decent retention. Taste is sweet and roasty with flavors matching the aroma with some licorice notes. Somewhat soft carbonation and a tad thin. Doesn’t taste as good as it smells, and I wish the body was fuller, but it’s still a really nice beer.

Tap at Growler Guys. Dark brown pour with a thin beige head. Aroma is mild, sweet and nutty with a light roast. Very sweet taste. Definitely dessert like and reminds me of the Southern Tier stuff. Sweet pecan pie and vanilla. Makes me want some ice cream to drizzle this on.

Hazy golden with a white head. Has all the hallmarks of a classic saison but misses the mark on proper balance. Peppery, hay, yeast, a bit of bread malt. Medium, effervescent body. Decent but needs some polishing.

12 oz can from a six pack, this one poured. A very enjoyable rye IPA here. Pours a hazy golden color with a long lasting foam head. Big juicy citrus aroma on one hand, but also has a bold spicy rye. Flavor is along the same lines, with quite a variety of things going on. Juicy citrus flavor up front, a piney secondary, and a spicy malt/rye constant from start to finish. Creamy. Very refreshing for a rye headlined brew. Very well constructed, unique take away from a more typical IPA. Delicious.

Can pours out a hazy yellow orange, full lasting thin sticky white head and lacing. Mile light malt aromas, a little of the rye sharpness and some muted fresh fruity citrusy hops. Flavors are a bit papery in the malts and the tropical type hop flavors taste a little old which is to say, faded not stale. Nice melon and a little light tangerine in there. Very smooth creamy almost velvety palate. Enough carbonation but almost pillowy feel. Modest lingering bite. Very satisfying.

Bottle from On the Fly Gasmart. Dark brown pour, medium beige head. Sweet, nutty aroma, taste also is quite nutty, but lacks the gooey caramel sweetness of the pie. Kind of dry too. Pecan yes, pie no.
