Poured into a pint glass, the appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a thin finger’s worth of off white foamy head that dissipated at a moderate pace. Mild lace.
The aroma had some roast, caramel, some pine, light grassy hop. Then some toast and a mild earthiness.
The flavor seemed to combine decently the previously mentioned aromas, somewhat sweetly with a touch of the roastiness. Lingering semi-smooth yet roasty sort of aftertaste rolling into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation felt fine. Though the ABV felt as projected, it did seem somewhat low for the style.
Overall, seems like an Americanized schwarzbier. It’s decent as is, but don’t expect the true German qualities of a real schwarzbier to impress you with this beer.

Thanks Frank.
This was poured into a becher pint glass.
The appearance was a glossy orange color with a decent finger’s worth of white foamy head. Dissipates fairly quick. Moderate light lace.
The aroma had some citrusy pith-like bitter hops. Subtle sweetness and then some honey and then balances back to some piney fresh hops. Ends with a touch of cereal malt.
The flavor seems to stay separate between the sweetness and the bitterness. Wouldn’t mind if this came to blend as I had hoped for in most AIPA’s. Crisp dry bitter to sweet finish. No aftertaste.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Moderate carbonation. ABV felt appropriate as intended by the brewer.
Overall, decent AIPA for the most part, just wishing that flavor would come together, as it could be an exceptional beer.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a cloudy burnt orange to brown color with a finger’s worth of off-white head. Decent messy lace.
The aroma had a big blend of caramel to chocolate big and bold up front. Some brown sugar, dates and nuts follow in underneath.
The flavor takes the previously mentioned aromas to boot in some bitter citrusy hops. Dry crisp malty to bitter aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Decent carbonation. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, good brown ale that is just good for what it is, but doesn’t seem to lean towards an English or an American. It just is.

This was poured into a pint glass.
The appearance was a hazy golden orange color with a two finger white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Messy clingy lace.
The aroma had some orange pulp, vanilla, and some banana sweetness. Clove, well, that leaves a bit to be desired.
The flavor yields to the sweetness of the prior mentioned aromas. Weird aftertaste for a hefeweizen as it seems to engage some of that vanilla and almost have a little bit of pie-like flavor. Super sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a decent sessionable feel about it. Carbonation felt fairly light. ABV felt as projected by the brewer.
Overall, if this a German hefeweizen, then I am Mickey Mouse. I usually like Broken Tooth beers, but well, hmmmmmm....I’m left scratching my beard on this one.

Poured into a mug, the appearance was a semi-dark brown color with some red hues along the sides. A finger’s worth of white foamy head started and died off at a fairly nice pace. Messy lace.
The aroma had some chocolate, sweet and somewhat milky, with a mild bready malt with some dark fruits and a touch of earthy hops.
The flavor keeps the same previously mentioned aromas to hit a nice blend into the aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with fair sessionable sort of smooth milky/creamy feel. Decent carbonation. ABV felt appropriate.
Overall, good brown ale worthy of having again.

Poured into a nonic pint glass, the appearance was an amber color with a sly finger’s worth of white foamy head. Clingy messy lace.
The aroma had a light roastiness with some piney hops and a firm caramel malt backbone. Light cracker and biscuits.
The flavor was sweet with the malt bill up front, cracker and caramel fully there. Malts linger into the aftertaste and into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation and the ABV felt good.
Overall, good amber ale worthy of having again.
