Can: Poured a black color porter with a nice dark brown foamy head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with smoky notes is quite nice. Taste is a nice mix of roasted malt with light dry bitter notes offset by smoke notes with some chocolate malt notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Nice mix between some smoky notes and solid porter base which makes for a nice drinkable treat.

Le premier nez nous donne des malts rôtis aux tons de café, se déclinant graduellement en accents de bois brulé et de cendre. La puissance est moyennement faible. On y perçoit également des accents de gazon. Une mousse brune d’épaisseur moyenne coiffe un liquide noir opaque. L’entrée de bouche se fait dans les tons de rôti et de fumé rappelant encore une fois le bois brulé et la cendre. Une certaine astringence de résineux couronne la finale. De très légers tons de fruits tropicaux et de mangue sont perceptibles en sourdine. Les accents rôtis sont ici plutôt dominants et ce au détriment du houblonnage. Ce qui la fait pencher plutôt vers la stout. Malgré tout, ça demeure une bière délicieuse.

Can at the main DC December Gathering. Poured a golden orange color with an off-white head. Aroma was light caramel notes, sweet boozy notes. Flavor had some dark fruits, light boozy notes.

16oz can pours a clear orange with some hazy, white head. Nose has persimmon and celery salt, some apple, muddled fruit. Flavor has apple and candy, spice, some fruit cake. Full bodied, sticky finish.

Can at the DC December Gathering #2. Golden orange with off-white head. Aromas of caramel, booze, stone fruit. Tastes of dark fruit, stone fruit, booze. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

Nice actually. Pours amber brown with ok head. Some decent florals. Light sweet finish. Nice balance, easy drinking. Can thanks to iphonephan.

Can, looks totally different, described as La Graincheuse Belge Forte, 8.5%. Close enough I think. Clear golden orange color. Aroma of candied caramel. Taste is lightly spiced sweet caramel, slightly metallic. OK.

Can: Poured a bright orangey color ale with a nice off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of intense citrusy and bitter hops is quite aggressive. Taste I also dominated by huge amount of citrusy and bitter hops with some residual sugar notes and backed by a solid malt backbone. Body is full for style with good carbonation. Huge beer with a tonne of bitterness.

A hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light grassy hops, light treacle and honey, a bit oxidized. In mouth, a sweet fruity malt with light raisins, vinous character, curacao, grassy hops, oxidized but still decent.
