Draft at the source. Very dark brown color, small tan edge head. Aroma is roasty coffee and cocoa. Taste is sweet cocoa and nice roast. Tasty enough, but I miss the barnyard notes of a god saison.

Draft at the brewery. Poured a clear golden color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was nice herbal, earthy and pine hop notes. Crisp and pretty refreshing, probably my second favorite of the bunch. Light fruity notes, some pine and earth.

Draft at the Source. Sold as a "Black Saison" - this beer pours a near pitch black color, perhaps extremely dark brown color with a small tan head. Aroma is light roasted malts, light grain notes. Not bad, but misses the style mark I think, not enough funk comes through and it’s too much like a black IPA. Still very drinkable.
