Description
DAVO is ontstaan in 2012, vooral om onszelf van bier te voorzien. We brouwden toen, jawel, in pannen. Gegarandeerd.

25/VII/20 - 33cl can as a gift, shared @ Social Distanced BBQ, BB: II/2021 (2020-683) Thanks to Arno for the can!

Clear blond yellow beer, small creamy white head, unstable, dissipates quickly. Aroma: very soapy, floral, bit sugary, some tropical fruits, coconut, nice! MF: ok carbon, medium body .Taste: bit malty, soft bitterness, caramel, grains, cow fodder, soapy. Aftertaste: more bitterness, soapy, grains, some candy, bit of vanilla, big meh, not impressed.

1,5 liter 'growler' (empty soda-bottle filled at the brewery) shared with Rick @ Rick. Clear brown to black with a thin tan head. Roasted malts and caramel aroma with some dark fruits. Taste is sweet with a low bitter finish. Indeed a tasty dubble/stout hybrid but leaning more to the dubbel side than the stout side in my opinion.

Bottle 33cl. @home poured into a shaker. Deep ruby brown colour, small frothy tan head, dissipates after a short while, heavy lacing. Aroma roasted malt, caramel, dark bread, chocolate, liquorice, fruity notes (dates, figs). Mild taste, medium sweet and light bitter, malty, caramel, chocolate, liquorice, fruity notes, some alcohol. Medium body, watery to oily texture, average carbonation, mild sweetbitter aftertaste, roasted malt, liquorice, fruity notes, light chocolate, really good effort this dubbel stout crossover.
