Great Taste of the Midwest 2017. Black. Aroma has cinnamon, quite a lot of it. Some chili flavor, moderately strong roast, some vanilla, and I taste cherry which might be due to the cinnamon.

Can shared in Maine - cheers Duke! The aroma has pithy citrus, juicy grapefruit, peach. Medium sweet flavour with a little rindy bitterness, pale bread, more grapefruit, peach. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with more pale bread, mild rindy bitterness, nectarine. Very good.

Bottle thanks to Chow. Pours a cloudy orange with small frothy white head that lasts. The aroma is apricot pith, oak, funk, wheat. Medium body, apricot skin, funky, nice tartness, light acidity, very nice.

22oz bottle from 2017 RIS tasting. This one leans on the coffee bitterness a lot, well supported by the roast malts. Taste adds a bit of sweetness and a lot of alcohol heat. Kind of slick, but has a nice feel throughout.

Bottle at the 10th Boise Imperial Stout Tasting. Very dark brown pour with a sturdy cap of tan head. Heavy aroma of bittersweet cocoa, roast, and coffee. Sturdy malt base and lots of roast, a little chocolate and light bits of pit fruit, a nice hop presence too.

Bottle at the 10th Boise Imperial Stout Tasting. Dark brown nearly black pour. Lots of coffee and roast, sweet barrel notes. The roast and espresso shine through with a modest compliment from the barrel treatment.
