On tap at The Great Dane - Hilldale, pours a missy brown with a tiny head. Aroma is dominated by the red wine, with little else to speak of maybe some dried out dark fruits. Flavour is very tart, tannic and somewhat tannic, with intense red wine, tannins, and acidity. This is not subtle whatsoever extremely intense red wine that leaves a lot of tannins and, for some reason, immense acidity. Something seems like its gone a bit wrong here with all that tartness.

On tap at The Great Dane - Hilldale, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma has metallic notes, bready malt, and a hint of toasted caramel. Flavour is somewhat messed up too, with metallic notes, bready malt, and sweet caramel. The metallic character throws this off though. Not too good.

On tap at The Great Dane - Hilldale, pours a clear pale copper with a small white head. Nose is dominated by the peppers, with a touch of vegetation character underneath. Flavour is quite spicy, with tons of habanero and jalapeo, medium-to-heavy spiciness, and a crisp finish. Lots of pepper flavour and spiciness. I like this a fair bit but this is a palate wrecker.

On tap at The Great Dane - Hilldale, pours a clear amber with a small beige head. Aroma has resinous hops, toasted bready malt, and a hint of toasted caramel. Flavour is bitter, with resinous hops, bready malt, and some bitter pine. Finishes bitter, with just enough malt backbone. Pleasant enough.

On tap at The Great Dane - Hilldale, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma has vegetal notes, grassy notes, and biscuity malt. Flavour is rather vegetal, with herbal hops, grass and crunchy vegetal notes. This is not a Czech pils, let along a good pils. Too crunchy and herbal. Lame.

On cask at The Great Dane - Hilldale, pours near-black with a medium beige head. Aroma has dry toasted malt, earthiness, and gentle cocoa. Flavour is dry, with very dry cocoa powder, earthiness, and toasted malt. Pretty solid malt character actually that works well with the casking. Decent.

12oz can. Perhaps my least favorite style, the fruited IPA. Maybe some candy mango in the aroma, but a really dull plastic extract taste at best which really doesn't taste like mango. Drinkable but in no way a great beer.
