Bottled. A deep red beer with a huge tan head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of caramel as well as medium notes of malt, alcohol and fruit. The flavor is sweet again with strong notes of caramel and medium notes of malt and alcohol. The finish is a bit cloying. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

12 oz bottle purchased at Zipps in Minneapolis, Minnesota by my Dad. Pour is hazy cloudy orange amber with some fine particulates and active carbonation. A lasting two inch head forms pretty lacing as it falls. Very pretty in the glass. Aroma of toasty caramel malt, floral hops and the pepper spice. All play together nicely. Taste is initially citrus floral hops, pretty dirty bitter, behind that is the toasted malt and the ending is the spice black pepper. The taste transition really unusually, very unique. Its as if the black pepper is lying in wait to dry up and spice up the finish. Palate is medium, decent carbonation level. As mentioned, the finish is dry and peppery. As it warms, the finish gets quite vegetal, green pepper. Points for uniqueness on this one.

Sample at JaBierβs refrigerator reduction tasting on 08/15/09. This brew is a clear orange-amber color with a thin off-white head that diminishes steadily. Patchy lacing on the glass. Coffee and floral hops in the nose. Medium body with flavors of roasted coffee, hops and caramel malt. The finish is smooth and well-rounded between moderately bitter coffee and sweet malt. Pretty good overall.

Bottle. Dark gold body with a white head, mostly diminishing. Aroma is dominated by spice and hops β clove, orange, coriander, flowers. Hints of caramel, banana, vanilla and honey. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. The combination of hops and spice have a bit of a nail polish remover taste, but itβs not off-putting. Medium body with a crisp texture and fizzy carbonation. Interesting and more complex than expected β a Leffe with more spice and lots more hops.

Bottle. Pours an amber color with a light brown head that lasts throughout the drink. A nice aroma of hops and malts, but I didnβt pick up much black pepper. A nice hoppy flavor with some malt characteristics, but again not much black pepper.

Bottle. Pours a dark amber with a light brown head. Aroma is dominated by a coffee smell, almost exactly like coffee beans. Flavor is dominated by coffee flavors as well and taste some what like an iced coffee. There are no usual beer flavors of malts or hops. Definitely different as I am used to having my coffee flavored beers in a stout.

12oz bottle. Hazy orange-tan color with a thin white head. Crisp herbal yeasty aroma, some decided sweetness. Very interesting and unique beer, par for the Furthermore course. In some ways like a Double White, with a thick malty sweetness behind the vanilla-orange peel edges. I suppose the term "bubblegum" will have to suffice in describing the sweet, herbal yeasty flavors. The spicy/herbal attributes of the beer come off pretty strong. Ginger, coriander, cinnamon..you name it. Complex and unique.

A nice, refreshing, quasi-belgian style pale - slightly yeasty aroma, with some minty and herbal character, light fruitiness, melon rind - starts with a grain/rye kind of flavor, tea-like notes, and some yeastiness - gets a tad floral and peppery through the middle - finishes with dry, crackery malts - refreshing and mildly spicy.
