12 oz bottle shared by beastifan2k. Pour is a huge gusher, when it finally hits the glass, hazed light orange copper. The head is fizzy off white, falls super fast. Aroma is funky Brett, along with some sugar sweetness, and a vegetal spiciness. Taste is the Brett, black pepper sharp spiciness, vegetal green pepper, some weird semi sweetness. Tons going on, and really pretty jagged taste profile. Palate is medium to thin, kind of a weak finish, lingering dry Brett finish. Thanks Eugene.

Pour is a dark cola brown with a small tan head. Aroma is of brown sugar and molasses. Flavor is again a brown sugar sweetness with a bit of dark fruit and molasses. Alcohol is there toward the end. A little harsh with the alcohol but this is an above par beer.

Pour is a red with a small white head. Aroma is kinda malty with some sugar in there. Flavor is all things pepper. Wow this is over the top pepper almost to the point of being hot. This got old real fast.

Sampled on draft at Smokin’ Joe’s in Pittsburgh PA this beer poured a dark caramel-amber color with a small white head that produced some lacing. The aroma was dry and roasty with a burnt coffee element. The flavor was dry, roasty, nutty and had a moderate bitter coffee element. The finish was long, dry and roasty burnt coffee. Moderately full bodied. Disappointing.

Bottle thanks to Sean! Poured amber with a red hue and an off-white head that dissipated to to a thin head. Aroma was very sweet with notes of grains a biscuits. Flavor was very sweet as well, again with sweet grains and biscuit.

A very solid dry stout - the addition of the peat smoked malt gives it a strong, earthy, smoky character that lends itself well to the dry, roasty qualities of the beer - it is fitting that there are roots on the bottle, because the beer tastes of the soil - a lot of dry cocoa character arrives late, and lasts through the finish - long finish of smoke and wood - really nice.

Bottle: Very dark brown pour with a thin brown head. Roasty and chocolatey aroma gives the impression of a dry, smokey, and ash laden roast. Taste is more roasty, smokey, and burnt malt. Ashes. Some espresso. Peat malt, as per the description. Fits their bill and good for the intentions.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a black color with a large brown head that lingered and produced good lacing. The aroma was woody, smoky and roasty. The flavor was dryish, woody and smoky with notes of tasty malts, vanilla and a touch of rum. The finish was medium length dry, roasty and woody. Medium body. Solid.
