Draft at Of Love & Regret. Poured a dark, almost black color, perhaps dark brown (it was dark in the restaurant). Aroma is some roasted malt, chocolate and some sour cherries. Flavor was sour cherries, some tartness, vinous notes, barrel. Pretty tasty.

12oz bottle pours a hazy orange with some wispy, white head. Nose of candy and spice, clove. Flavor is sweet, yams, clove, spice. Sweet finish.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with tan head. Nose and taste of old oak, red wine, cherry juice, chocolate and toasted wood. Medium body. Slight band-aid in nose but not taste.

Pours a clear, straw yellow with zero head. Nose has a lot of sun tan lotion, a little tropical fruit, some coconut. Flavor is sweet, pineapple, tropical fruit, malt, honey. Finishes sweet.

Travilah Beer and Wine, Rockville, MD 750ml ($7): Pours a very light color with a very little loose head. Aroma is coriander, lemon, orange, and barely a malt. Taste is absurdly light, but actually has enough flavour to carry things through pretty well. My favourite part about this beer is that it is barely sweet at all. Not a bad session, although in fairness, this beer is not trying to do very much.

Travilah Wine & Beer, Rockville 750ml ($7): Pours a brownish color with a white head. Aroma is of citrus and resin and a malt backbone. Taste is somewhat bitter, with a good balance struck with the malts. Overall, this is well-balanced and worthy of a drink.
