Established in 2008, the Wedge is a neighborhood brewery with two locations in the heart of Asheville’s River Arts District. The Wedge serves as a gathering place for people of all ages and walks of life to laugh, exchange ideas and drink Wedge beer.

The Wedge is a community crafted by the people of Asheville.

Draft at Brewery. Pours orange gold with white head. Nose and taste of pine, caramel malt, orange candy and hoppy resin. Medium body.

RBWG 2014. Sampled at Appalachian Vintner. Medium brown body with an off-white head. Very little aroma. The flavor is cloyingly sweet with some alcohol added in.

Draft - Rich chocolate and raspberry, not sweet. Black with the typical beauty of nitro head. Tastes like a chocolate covered raspberry, roast malts and appropriate sweetness and bitterness. Great beer.

Draft - Dark fruit, brown sugar, raisins and plum. Cloudy brown with a light brown head. Brown sugar, plums and raisin. Very fruity, my kind of Quad.

On tap. Pours a hazy pale gold with an orange hue and a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has sweet grains and light fruit with a decent Belgian spice note coming through. Flavor is very perfumey with light fruits and sweet grains underlying.

Clear dark brown with a small tan head and some lacing. Aroma of brown sugar and molasses. Flavors of toasted malts and brown sugar
Nice, very sweet.

On tap. Pours a hazy brown with an amber hue and a light brownish gray head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet grains and dark fruits with a hint of light spice. Flavor has sweet dark grains, raisins and dark fruits with a bit of light spice.

On tap with Breau. Pours a black appearance with a tan head. Abide, grape, fig, dark fruity aroma. Moderately sweet. A bit tangy flavor. Grape & plum. Strange but OK.

On tap with Breau. Pours a dark brown appearance with a brown head. Bitter chocolate, chalky oatmeal, herbal, hay aroma. Fairly dry, actually. A lot of bitter chocolate. Somewhat bitter. Chalky. Fine.
