Description
Oktober 2013 werd Stichting Haagsche Broeder ingeschreven in het handelsregister en begin 2014 werd er gestart met brouwen. 28 juni 2014 werd de eerste Haagsche Broeder Prior aangeboden aan Burgemeester Jozias van Aartsen en is de verkoop van start gegaan.

Bottle thanks to my Secret Sinterklaas. Dark brown color. Malt, roast and licorice in the aroma and flavor. Sweet. Sticky band roasty finish with licorice. Decent.

Bottle. Deep dark brown color. Slight gusher. Oak and dominant peat in the aroma. caramel, roast. Malty yet dry oaky, dominant peaty flavor, pushing away other flavors. Iodine. Lots of carbonation. Nice one, though not perfect.

Bottle. Black. Malt, roast and licorice in the aroma. Malty sweet, roasty flavor. Full bodied, almost thick. Very low on carbon. Coughing syrup, licorice, caramel. Decent.

Bottle. Black. Malt, roast, caramel and a hint of pipe tobacco in the aroma, malty sweet roasty flavor. Caramel, licorice, laurel. Pipe tobacco. Medium to full bodied, well balanced. Good beer.

Bottle. Amber color. Orange marmelade and gingery notes in the aroma. Sour flavor with grapefruit, tangerine, marmelade. Gingery. Possible infection? It doesn’t hurt the beer too much.

Corked bottle. Dark amber color. Vinous aroma, red fruit, oak, some bourbon and vanilla notes. Pleasant sour flavor, vinous with hints of vinegar, oak, bourbon, apple and vanilla. Complex, dry. Pleasant.

Bottle, thanks to Maakun. Golden color, pours a huge head. Marmelade and some floral hops in the aroma and flavor. Sweetish. medium bodied. Decent.

2015 vintage, thanks Maakun! Dark brown color. Malt, toffee and butterscotch in the aroma and flavor. Sweet, velvety, slightly vinous. Delicious!

Corked bottle, thanks to Maakun! Dark brown color. Vinous aroma, red fruit, hints of caramel and licorice in the aroma and flavor. A moderate, matured sourness. Some oak in the finish. Low on carbon. Full bodied, complex beer.

Bottle, thanks Maakun! Maltaroma with traubenzucker and soft champagne notes. Malty sweet, floral, vinous flavor. Grapes, champagne. Very little carbon. Interesting, full bodied, but limited and needs further work.
