Description

We’re a small Belgian brewery on the grounds of a four-generation-old family restaurant in Damme. We brew classic Belgian styles with a twist, as well as international styles not common in Belgium.

In 2022, we decided to join forces with Hedonis Brewery and start a new brewing site in Michelbeke, in the heart of the Flemish Ardennes.

Light brown colour with lasting head. Aroma and flavour have plenty of tropical fruit hop notes that dominate quite strongly. A nice beer but Speciale Belge is not better with Citra and Simcoe. Would love to see this with old world hops.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Roast, caramel, citrus and grassy hops in the aroma. Malty yet dry, thinnish. Citrus, soft roast, caramel. A firm grassy hopbitterness. Hint of yeast. Not bad at all.

Dark brown with foamy head. Aroma and flavour have lots f malt sweetness with notes of caramel and milk chocolate together with some sweet dried fruits too. Body is disappointingly thin and it's too gassy.

Zwart bier met mooie bruine stevige schuimkraag. Smaak is bitter met iets van bittere chocolade, mokka en een vleug rook en vanille. Erg goed.

Bottle. Dark brown color. Caramel, vanilla and a hint of orange peel in the aroma. Malty sweet, alcoholic flavor with caramel, vanilla. Soft yeasty notes. Not very impressive.

Bottle, from the BXL pack. Pours a deep mahogany brown. Light tan head is dense, messy, lasting, and semi lacing. Looks well. Nose has coffee chocolate. Stewed dark fruit. Liquorice. Rich roast malt. Taste is really well balanced sweet liquorice, with earthy, roast malt and coffee bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel belies the ABV. Nicely slick with fine carbonation. Bitterness increases on the finish and lingers an age. Very nice.

Clear blond colour with lasting thin head. Aroma and flavour have some apple notes and lychee.

Cloudy orange colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have an abundance of orange citrus zest. Light sharpness comes from that. Light and refreshing.
