Description
Wachusett Brewing Company was founded by three Massachusetts college students obsessed with the brewing culture and an appreciation for craft beer during their adventures of biking, canoeing, and hiking around New England. Armed with a “we can do this” attitude, the three cast off from their careers in engineering and biology to pursue their passion to make great beer.

Can taster pour at Julio's Liquors. Appearance is clear dark yellow/light brown with nice sparkle, no head, no lacing. Aroma was subtle mix of sweet and tart blueberry, cracker malts. Taste as aroma. Palate is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, often fruit beers overwhelm you with fruit flavor and taste but, if anything, this could have used more.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Greg & Jane's Beer and Wine. Appearance is hazy, yellow-orange with greenish tinge at edges of glass, nice sparkle, 1.5-finger width foamy off-white head with decent retention and fair sudsy lacing. Aroma is subtle candied sugar, citrus, dank resin. Taste is citrus, tropical fruit and dank resin bitter. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, average carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, would have liked it to be a tad more juicy in the front half but decent complexity and balance.

On tap at Jerry Remy's at BOS. Hazy medium orange amber with a small off white head that leaves some fine lace. Nose is light caramel, pine, grass and some floral notes. Flavour follows with light caramel sweetness and a medium- grassy bitterness. Mouth is slightly thin with average carbonation and a light bitter finish. Decent enough. 6+/3 +/6/3 /13

16 oz, draft at Barking Dog Ale House, Haverhill. Pitch Black color, fast dying head. Aroma is weak chocolate, mild roast, and weak coffee grounds. I guess the body is about right for such a low ABV stout. Dry texture. Overall, it has the feel of a Guinness clone.

Interesting aroma that definitely reminds me of a blueberry muffin. Palate isn't particularly complex but I feel the need to compliment this beer for balancing just the right amount of blueberry notes without taking away from the basis of the beer.

Pours gold into a shaker. White head with medium retention recedes to sicken surface leaving scant spiders. Honey and bread aromas. Dry and sharp with sweet corn and lemon joy upfront turning to bread and hay before the medium length bitter earth finish.
