Description

@home poured into a chalice. Hazy medium golden, small fizzy white head, diminishing quickly, light lacing. Aroma sweet malt, grain, honey, candy sugar, alcohol. Taste light light heavy sweet, slightly bitter, malty, grainy, muscat grapes. Medium body, creamy texture, average carbonation, short grainy sweetbitter aftertaste, husky notes, nothing special but nice.

Pours unclear yellowblonde. Medium sized white head. Average stability. Scent is weak to none. traces of a malty base, for those that really seek it out. Taste is mildly bitter, nothing extreme obviously. Big on BE yeast, especially in the later taste, and towards the aftertaste. A medium thin body with medium high carbo. As this is for the Hop museum, I expected a hoppy beer. This would work better for a Yeast museum... Surprpsingly tasteless.

I have this lightly cooled 33 cl bottle of Rookop received from a fine retailer in Belgium. Pulling out a snifter obtained in Houston at Buffalo Bayou to try this brew, life is good. It pours a dark caramel brown, finishing with a heroic head of white-tan foam that promptly settles to a creamy skim. I appreciate the nose, figs, dark bread and yeast. The taste is appealing also, plums, yellow fruit too, grain, malt and a bit astringent. Straightforward, very little sweetness. Decent.

Many thanks for this beer to Jacek Wigier (wineofdreams@gmail.com) piana jest wielka gigantyczna jasno brazowa, piwo ciemne gestawe i nie przejrzyste. Wytrawny smak i posmak z lekka nuta palonosci i wedzonosci.
