From my hotel: pours amber with an off white head. Aroma is caramel and some light hops. Aroma is sweet, lightly bitter, and quite malty. Ok.

On draught at the Austin airport during a delay. Golden-copper and slightly cloudy with beige head. The hops are muted and a little earthy dirt throughout.

On tap at Whip In, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, toasted biscuity malt and light resinous oils. Flavour is very bitter, with piney hops, resinous oils, dank notes and dry toasted malt. Bitter and piney, with a bone dry finish. Nice stuff.

Full pint draft at Craft Pride in Austin, Texas. The pour is a clear copper golden with a smaller white head. The aroma is faint, some sweet floral and general bitterness. The taste picks up some with resin floral hop along with noticeable alcohol. The palate is medium bodied with soft carbonation and a floral sweet finish. Decent, but a bit flabby as it warms.

On tap at Craft Pride. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong pepper, smoke, ash. Thin mouth, similar flavors to nose, toasted malts, smokey finish, good.
