12oz can pours out amber topped with a sand head. Nose is nice sweet caramel malts and some grass. Taste is more of the nice sweet caramel malts and some grass.

12 oz. can from HEB in Boerne, TX. Pours a crystal clear darker bronze color with a khaki head and great retention. Spotty lacing. Pretty pour. Caramel malt aroma. Sweet, rich toasted caramel malt flavor to match the aroma. Classic Marzen profile. Medium body. Low carbonation. No bitterness. And the 7.0% ABV is dangerously well hidden. Good beer. Tastes even better after a weizenbock. Prost!

My 12 oz bottle was purchased at an Austin Total Wine several weeks past. So now it is time to have a taste. Pulling the cap and making the pour I see a dark amber-gold liquid followed by an appropriate amount of off-white foam. A pleasant scent with pine and yellow fruit. And I have to say the drink is even better. Caramel, malt, bread, a good amount of hops bitterness, perhaps a touch of apricots and a bit of pine. Mostly old school but not exactly. A substantial sensation, something positive I believe. Nice.

Bottle at FairMont Hotel, Austin, Texas, in my Sales Kick Off, 17th February 2020. Straight from the bottle, aroma is malty, taste is sweet and malty, then it is a little bitter and rounded in the finish. Good

Amber colour with golden highlights, a nice light beige head, good retention and creamy lacing. Caramel malts with mild hops. The hops are stronger in the taste with nice bitterness, grassiness. Pretty crisp for an imperial IPA goes down nicely with Tex Mex food at Pelons in Austin, Texas.

After having Cooper's BBQ in Austin, TX, had this one at The Jackalope bar. Very slightly hazy amber colour with a creamy light beige head, pretty good retention and creamy lacing. Caramel malt base with some fruitiness. Flavours of apples over the caramel malts and hints of nuttiness with a touch of grassy hops in the finish. Mouthfeel is crisp and slightly dry. A good amber beer well-balanced with the hops.

Bottle bought at HEB Supermarket in Boerne, TX. Pours a slightly hazy gold color with a white head and decent retention. Minor lacing. Tastes like a generic wheat ale but a little on the heavier side. Decent but forgettable.

16 oz draft at the Cheesecake Factory in Austin, TX. Clear bronze color with a khaki head and good retention. Very good lacing. Has an above-average amount of sweet caramel malt flavor up front with a hoppy finish. A little boozy as it warms.
