Bottle: Poured a deep amber color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrus and floral hops is dominant with a nice amount of caramel malt also noticeable. Taste is a good mix between some semi-sweet caramel malt with some good notes of citrus hops with nice floral undertones and some bitter note in the aftertaste. Body is about average with good carbonation. Solid offering with good amount of fresh hops.

Location: Bottle at Paul's Blind Impy Stout Tasting, 1/5/13
Aroma: The nose is mostly roasted malts and coffee, underlying earth and chocolate
Appearance: It pours a dark brown/black color with a small light brown head
Flavor: The taste is also on the roasted side, not too sweet, but heavily malty for sure
Palate: The body is medium, but it feels light for the style, with a dry, roasty finish
Overall Impression: This was a solid one overall, but not a favorite for me at the tasting. Still though, it is plenty solid and certainly worth trying.

Bomber from Half Time. Pours hazy ruddy copper with a creamy/bubbly beige head. Aroma of malt and fruit. Full bodied - almost. Heat is present. There’s a heavy sweetness. There’s a lot of hop. There’s a flavor aspect that’s not metallic exactly, but makes me think of that. Also hints of earth. There’s a lot of fruity hop. There’s a lot of a lot of things. With time the heat seems fairly low key. I’d like to figure out that different flavor, but that’s my only problem with this beer. Update: basil and oregano come to mind for that flavor.
