(Draught at Pivovarsky Klub, Prague, 27 July 2012) Dark brown colour, almost black, with creamy beige head. Malty, smoky nose with notes of bacon, dark fruit and chocolate. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, dark rye bread, raisins, gentle smoke flavours and a touch of chocolate in a finish with a decent bitterness. Medium body, slightly sweetish. The smoke character stays fairly balanced. Quite nice.

03/01 0.5 l bottle brought from Czech Republic. It poured golden body with medium sized head. Quite strong hay aroma with stale honey/egg malt. Lightly sweet flavor, malty with some herbal hops, which are quite crude. Medium in body with long, slightly sweet finish. Not bad, just about the average, seems to have some potential, but needed to be a more refined.

Re-rate 2/14: Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks kerenmk. Clear deep golden with a white head. Oxidized aroma with cardboard, caramel, honey notes and butter. Sweet oxidized flavor. Rather light-bodied. Seems too old, score is not calculated. 3/3/3/2/6=1.7

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dagan’s place. Thanks Lee. Clear golden. Grainy aroma. Flavor has some grainy sweetness and moderately bitter finish with a bit of grassy notes. Light to medium-bodied. 3/3/5/3/10=2.4

21/11 0.5 l bottle, brought from Czech Republic. It poured golden body with medium sized head. Hoppy, slightly eggy and somewhat corny aroma. Similar, eggy, cornflakes and boring watery flavor. Thin body of course. Short, acidic finish. Slightly better than a typical NA beer.

20/11 0.5 l bottle from Krumlov. It poured clear, deep red body with medium sized head. Smoked cheese and ham aroma. Flavor had ham, smoked peat, with quite prominent caramel note. Quite light in body, with medium, slightly alkaline ash finish. A nice smoked for sure, yet a bit light.
