The signature of Sap House Meadery is its use of pure New Hampshire maple syrup in many of its meads. In some, such as the Hopped Blueberry or Cranberry Sage, it is used to add complexity. In the Sugar Maple however, it is the main ingredient with nearly half the fermentable sugars coming from maple syrup.
At Sap House Meadery we value community building and strive to source our ingredients locally. We are committed to creating a product that is steeped in history, produced naturally, and enjoyed universally. Our meads are created with a passion for the land and in homage to the bees that keep the land going. Ask for our meads at your local wine shop or grocer, and stop by the Meadery to enjoy our process, have a tasting, and experience our passion. Cheers!

375 ml bottle. The appearance is a crystal clear amber / ruby color. Aroma is soft honey, mild blueberry with the faintest hint of maple sugar. The alcohol is not really hidden at all. I can't smell or taste hops but they must be here for the balance because it does not become overly sweet. Does have a maple note, berries. Dry texture

Bottle from Bert’s Crystal clear deep golden color with a fair amount of legs. Big apple and cinnamon on the nose with light caramelized honey. the cinnamon and apple aromas combine and give this an almost herbal feel to it. More vanilla in the flavor than the aroma suggested. I get honey flavor but not a lot of carmelization. The apple comes through really well. Its a bit pricey but it is a really nice sipper.

Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours clear very pale gold with a tiny white head. The aroma is sweet, rich, fruity, honey, maple, apple, pear and earth. The taste is smooth, rich, tangy fruits, wood, earth, floral, oily, apple skin, wood and a touch of acidity even. Finish is rather warming. Interesting, but a bit rough around the edges.

Bottle shared in Watford - picked up in NH. Pours clear yellow-gold. Rich honey in the snout, light alcohol, florals, tangerine. Medium sweet flavour with definite alcohol boost, some lemony accents, moderate honey, some spicy notes, marmalade. Medium to full bodied, and lightly chewy. Warming finish, sweet but not syrupy, with more restrained honey, very faint smoke, tangerine. Interesting stuff. Not bad.

Bottle. Pours crystal clear burgundy grape juice, no head, no lacing. Aroma is honey, blueberries, hints of apple, grass. Flavor is light plus sweet, light bitter, hints of maple with plenty of honey and restrained blueberry. Good come through on the finish as a lingering bitterness, grape skins. Medium body, no carbonation.

Bottle from Bert’s Brilliantly clear deep golden color with decent legs. Mild honey and floral notes with a touch of alcohol. Somewhat dry, a bit too much for my tastes.

Split a 375ml. I think I bought this in Nov 2013. Poured a clear amber color, totally flat. Aroma was boozy honey. Lots of maple sugar notes. Flavor was light honey, boozy vanilla, maple. Very warming.
