Sampled at Winterfest 2014. Smooth palate and a good malt body. Very little hops, and that is fine. Some alcohol presence in the flavor and aroma, appropriate for an English strong. Good effort.

Draft at the Minneapolis airport location. Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. The aroma has leafy hops, some dried orange, a bit of toasty malts. Medium sweet flavor with crunchy leaves, pine, orange rind, toasted caramel, dry bread. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes with bitter, toasted grass, faint melon, dry orange, bread, toasted caramel, leaves. Very average stuff.

Draft at the MSP airport location, pours perfectly clear yellow with a creamy white head. The aroma holds dry dough, straw, cereal. Light to medium sweet flavor with biscuity pale malts, dough, faint floral and lemony hops, dry cereal. Light bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish with lightly sugary biscuits, doughy white bread, some lemon meringue. Pretty solid kolsch, really. Uncomplicated and very drinkable.

All Pints North 2013. Good. Red color. Lots of malt and hps, bitter and dry, and there is considerable pine.

On tap at the brewpub. An unclear, orange-golden beer topped by a dense, off-white head of fingerthick height. Pine cones, peaches and orange in the aroma. A tad sweet on the palate, full-bodied and soft. Lacks a bit on bitterness perhaps, but with solid flavors from the hops, peaches, orange and pinecones. Lasting finish. Sure a fine brew, one I could easily drink a few of. 130705

Draft. Hazy amber color, small white head. Aroma of caramel. Taste is similar.

Draft MSP. Hazy dark copper pour with two fingers of creamy beige head. Citrus aroma with light caramel. Taste is mostly the citrus hops, but with some light florals too. Clean and crisp. Not a world beater by any means, but refreshing and overall a decent IPA.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is dark roasted malty and light annis seed like spiced. Bitter, herbal, dark roasted, mild citric and annis seed like again. Dry, rather bitter and almost spiced finish. Rather bitter building far finish.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours almost clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is overripe fruity and toasted malty, light yeasty. Light spiced, estery fruity, metallic, medium dry to herbal phenolic. Bitter, dry, light alcohol metallic and toasted malty finish. Rather bitter building finish.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is thick raspberry citric, sulphorish and almost liqourice. Thick fruity, medium sweet and mild citric. Mild wineous. Dominant sulphorish raspberry flavour. Light liqourice finish.
