Absolute no-frills roasty, bitter stout. But well done.

Post gig-beers in a heavy metal brewery, love it. Nice juicy, yet strongly hopped IPA. Low carbonation.

Deep amber with a small head which is poured that way regardless of the beer at Thrash Zone. Love this place. Raisin, dark brown sugar, plum hide the alcohol well. Popped in to TZ and he was pouring a three year old version of this (which I’m reviewing here) and glad he was.

Tap at Meatballs. Amber-orange, hazy. Nose is caramel, bready, citrus, pine, some butterscotch. Bitter, resiny, citrus, old school APA with a bit of diacatyl but not enough to piss me off.

I’ve had this for years but never reviewed until tonight. Doesn’t quit have the soft body feel nor the deep roastiness it used to have but the coffee character is still absurdly good and now a lot more dark fruit and not quit as dry as before. Still the roastiness is there, the relative nice mouthfeel is there, it’s like from 4.0 to 3.85 if that is possible. I love the extra dark fruit now. Still one of the best stouts in japan

Tap at Meatballs. Lightly wheaty, lots of hops. Citrus, resin, light spice. Good stuff. Dank and earthy.

Tap at Thrash Zone. Raisins, doughy. Very easy drinking, fruity. Booze is well hidden. Dangerously drinkable.

Tap at Thrash Zone. Amber red colour, small off-white head. Aroma is burnt toast, hoppy bitterness, some spice maybe. Taste has the expected hoppiness of a thrash zone beer, but also a bit of fruit and spice. Perfectly ok, but not so exciting. Taste is bit of a spice and herb rack. --- Beer merged from original tick of Summer Of 69 on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:05 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 7. Tap at Thrashzone. Interesting taste, burnt tropical fruit! Mango and stuff, bit spiky. House IPA elements. Nice bitterness. Minerals. Interesting, not 100% sure about it yet, but it's definitely nice.

Tap at Thrash Zone. Nice, light, citrusy, lime particularly, grainy, wheat, almost Berliner Weisse style. Dry, lightly tart. Good stuff.
