Description
We are dedicated to the entire experience of craft; from our creative food menu to our unique beers. The adventure started with creating a perfect beer, and we have kept that focus since our opening in 2005 with 31 combined rotating taps plus hard cider and a variety of wines. The Saugatuck Brewing Company (SBC) has a large family friendly pub, outside patio plus a secondary tap room dubbed “The Barrel Room” for multiple different dining and drinking experiences in one building. We operate on a 45 barrel Brew System with 960 barrels of Fermentation Space and the ability to age over 400 wood barrels at one time.

Can, 6.0%. Mild berry aroma, raspberry, it seems. Clear copper colour. Very small head. The flavour is citric and fruity with a note of burnt plastic that luckily almost goes away after a bit. Not so good to begin with, but better after a while.

Can. Pours clear reddish amber with airy pink-beige head. Clear aroma of berries, with touches of yeast and spicy hints. Dry, vinous flavour of berries, with estery notes and touches of dust. Dry, berrylike aftertaste with estery touches. Tasty and well-balanced. A nice one.

Bottle, 6.0%. Mild chocolate aroma. Almost black colour, seems clear. Very small brown head. The flavour is sweet with a good berry note and a late note of liquorice powder. It takes a very long time for me to taste the vanilla as something else than just sweetness, but I get it in the aftertaste.

Can. Pours cloudy dark brown with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of strawberries, malt and yeast, with touches of chocolate. Sweetish flavour of said ingredients, with bitter, roasty notes of hops and coffee. Bitter, roasty aftertaste with touches of ice cream. A very nice one. Yummy. And just as a live as the ghost editi´on.

Can, 6.0%. Sweet fruit or berry aroma. Almost clear copper colour. Small white head. The flavour is intriguing. First a sweet note, a little sugary. After this comes a nice berry note. And a very late liquorice/coffee aftertaste. A beer like no other I have had before. And good.

Can. Pours nearly clear amber with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of fruit, with touches of yeast and hints of chocolate. Sweetish flavour of strabwerries and white chocolate with notes of vanilla, giving way to bitter notes of hops and coffee, although these do not appear until four seconds after the sip. Bitter and roasty aftertaste with fruity touches. A nice and complex one. A living thing.

Can, a takeaway from the PoW, Farnborough. Initial malty coffee quickly followed by sweet - synthetic - blueberry and underlying maple hints. Dark and inky. Foamy tan head soon fades. OK so a bitter espresso core. Low lying maple with the blueberry sweetness more evident into the finish. Amps up the sweetness. Nice but taste-wise it's all over the place before settling down. Medium bodied. Slick. Oily. Flat-average carbonation. Long astringent finish. Enjoyable if very sweet.
