12 oz. can purchased at Julio's Liquors. No date coding. My can is what is pictured in the above photo, yet reads 8.1 on the can I hold in my hand. Fast vanishing white head on the pitch black liquid. Aroma is vanilla, melted chocolate candy, caramel. The flavor is pretty flimsy. It doesn't have much of a backbone. There is absolutely no way this could possibly be 8.1%. Body is thin and more along the lines of something under 5%. I checked Untappd and it too reads 4.5%. Maybe the brewery mislabeled the can in hopes to sell more if it???? Maybe fool a few unsuspecting beer nerds in thinking this was a bold imperial stout?
Not sure what is going on at this brewery but leading anybody to believe this was a imperial stout is a total scam. I want to collect a big bag of dog shit, set it at the entry way of the brewery and light it on fire.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up at Premier Gourmet near Buffalo. Pours mostly clear orange-gold with a billowing, foamy white head. The nose has toasted crackers, faded pine, dried caramel, minerals. Light sweet flavour with mild grassy bitterness, more old pine, toasted crackers, light astringency. Medium bodied with active carbonation. Finishes with awkward oily pine bitterness, some crusty pale malts, grass, more crackers. Not great.

16oz can pours out a crisp golden copper topped with a white head. Nose is malty forward pine hops and grapefruit. Taste is more of the malty notes a pithy grapefruit bitterness and a oily end.

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, loads of maple, bacon, light vanilla, alcohol warmth, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet caramel chocolate malt with light vanilla, light pecans, coffee notes, pleasant. On tap at CNY Brewfest 2016.

Sampled from a 16 oz can this beer poured a bright golden color with an enormous creamy-soapy orange-white head that lingered forever and left good lacing. The aroma was flora and fruity hops with a light sweet tropical fruit note underneath. The flavor was tangy and sweet with toasted caramel, pine, vague fruity hops and a bit of tobacco. Long finish with growing bitterness. Moderately full bodied. Decent.

Got this from butters_mcgee. 12 ounce can into lager glass, no can dating. Pours slightly hazy orange/copper color with a 1-2 finger dense light khaki head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of honey, brown sugar, toasted bread, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, light citrus/berry, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of dark/bready malt and light-moderate fruity/earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Taste of honey, brown sugar, toasted bread, light nuttiness, herbal, grass, light pepper, light citrus/berry, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of honey, toasted bread, light nuttiness, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of dark/bready malt and light-moderate fruity/earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness after the finish. Very clean on lager flavors with minimal yeast notes present. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly creamy/bread/sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish as expected of 5%. Overall this is a very good Vienna lager style. All around good robustness and balance of dark/bready malt and light-moderate earthy/fruity hop flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. The fruity hop character was a unique addition to the beer, but other than that it felt very well done to style. A very enjoyable offering.

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours black-brown with a frothy beige head. The aroma holds vanilla, mellow chocolate. Medium sweet flavor with strong vanilla notes, lightly bittersweet chocolate, subtle earthy bitterness. Medium bodies with fine carbonation. Finishes with some oily vanilla, cocoa, soft roast, slight milky mocha coffee. Tasty stuff.
