50 cl. flip top bottle @ home, bought @ Edeka Kleve. Clear golden with a big white head. Grainy aroma with a light honey touch. Bittersweet with a bitter finish. Just an honest German helles: solid and decent.

Bottle, 0.5l. Hazy brown/red pour, three finger frothy off-white head. Medium lasting, slight lacing on the glass. Herbs, grass and wheat on the nose, mild roasted. Thin to medium body, medium carbonation. Fizzy mouthfeel, average texture. Bittersweet taste with some tart to it. Aroma of wheat, grass, yeast and herbs. Subtle roasted malt notes, herbal spiciness, a bit stale. Mild banana and caramel notes. Short finish. Not bad but pretty much mediocre.

Bottle, 0.5l. Deep clear ruby pour, two finger frothy beige head. Good retention, long lasting head. Lots of broken lacing on the glass as it goes down. Malty nose, caramel and toffee, herbal notes in the background. A bit on the sweet side. Medium body, soft to medium carbonation. Oily texture, chewy, smooth on the palate. Sweet taste with mild liquory bitterness to it. Heavily malty aroma, caramel and toffee, brown sugar, molasses. Herbal, nutty. Raisins. Wood notes. Subtle roasty. Sticky. Medium lasting finish, dry and liquory. Mild lingering burn on the tongue. Quite nice.

Slight fruity aroma (pear, mango). Full bodied. Malty but dry taste, some roasted malt. Coffee, liquorice, herbal, prunes. Does the job well.

Dark color, hardly any foam. I can't make much of the aroma, a bit malty, a bit salty, a bit soapy. Malty flavor, some grape and pear fruitiness.

Amber color. Soapy aroma with a touch of hops. Nutty, hopbitter flavor with some pear and the slightest hint of nutmeg. malty, but only medium bodied. Mediocre quality beer.
