Bomber from Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours clear copper with a large creamy beige head. Fruit/floral aroma. It’s malty, but there’s a lot of floral hop. The combo is suggesting a bitter, maybe an ESB. It’s hoppy, decently bitter, and the malt is fended off from sweetness. Pretty nice to drink.

Draft at Hopwater Distribution in San Francisco, California. The pour is mostly clear golden, faint orange with a smallish white head. The aroma is biscuit caramel malt, along with citrus floral hops. The taste is a blend of the softly sweet malt and the citrus floral hops, with bitterness in the back-end. The palate is light to medium bodied with active carbonation and a slightly dirty bitter finish. Decent enough.

Pours a hazy dark golden color with a medium white head that dissipates steadily. Stringy lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, citrus and slight malt. Medium-bodied with a borderline astringent citrusy hops flavor and notes of pine and malt. The finish is bitter with a lingering grapefruit and hops aftertaste. Pretty one-dimensional, but decent overall.

Bottle from City Beer, bought in February 2014. (my first one from this brewery) Clear golden/orange with a medium with a white head. Aroma and taste of citrus, hops, orange, pine and some light malt. Not that bitter, a descent one.

On tap at Sam’s, San Francisco. It’s a lightly hazy one, dark golden to light amber in color. Pine cones, peaches and some malty hints in the aroma, some citrus peel too. There’s a nice bitterness in the flavor, both initially and in the finish. Peach hints, pine cones and citrus. Full body, pleasant carbonation. Although lacking a bit on complexity, it’s a fine beer. 130804
