Location: Draft at Alexander Michaels, 2/11/14
Aroma: Clean hoppy aroma, citrus/tropical, light pine
Appearance: This one pours a nice gold color, with a decent sized head
Flavor: It tastes clean and hoppy, light sweet, clean medium bitterness
Palate: This one is lght-medium bodied, good drinkability, and an average carbonation
Overall Impression: I actually enjoyed this one quite a bit. This is a really well made APA. I didn't honestly expect this one to be as quality. It's simple, well-made, and drinkable. There's plenty of room for beers like this in my rotation.

Location: Draft at Brixx - Uptown Charlotte, 1/28/15
Aroma: This one has a fairly light malty aroma, with some caramel and chocolate notes.
Appearance: It pours a brown color with a small head and some light-medium lace.
Flavor: It has a light sweet flavor, fairly malty, with a clean, light bitter finish.
Palate: The body is fairly light, with average to lively carbonation and a lightly dry finish.
Overall Impression: I thought this was some pretty decent stuff. The nose is a little thin. It works solidly, but it could be better.

Tulip draft at the brewery taproom in Charlotte, North Carolina. The pour is a hazed yellow gold with a well formed white head. A bunch of lace is left on the glass. The aroma is herbal clove yeast along with some citrus grass. The taste is the yeast right away, clove herbal grass and the some fruit sweet under that. The palate is medium bodied with natural carbonation and a lingering yeasty finish. Solid beer, certainly somewhere between a Saison and a Wit.

A reddish copper ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet herbaceous candy sugar malt with musky notes, weird. In mouth, a sweet caramel malt with light coriander, watery bodied, strange, in need of a change in recipe. On tap at The Beer Growler.

Draft at the source. Clear deep maroon brown color, beige edge head. Aroma of dark roast coffee. Taste has big ciffee, but the beer characteristics still shine through. Would be even better if the base beer had a bit more body. Still pretty tasty.
