At Rich’s Massive Cellar Emptying Tasting. Deep reddish brown with a malty sweet chocolate fudge. Syrupy mouthfeel with a dry finish and some heat going down. Good enough stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bomber from Elise. A really solid Wee Heavy. Fruity yeast notes. Big caramel, toffee notes. Comes together perfectly. I don’t know if there is some amber malt in there or if it just the deep fruity ale tones. Pretty spot on for the style. Big, sweet, fruity ale notes and rich caramel-toffee. Finishes clean enough to make you want more. Well done.

Found bombers for 3.99 - even at that price, they still have cases of the stuff sitting around - pours a hazy amber - no head - no noticeable carbonation - not really a saison - basically a Belgian strong, but with the cab barrels really taking over every aspect aside from some yeast spiciness and mild apple esters, maybe a little dark fruit maltiness - acidity is a bit potent on the tail end - not that great.

Sample at Collaboration Fest on 03/21/2015. Pours a clear dark amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to a dense film. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of bourbon, malt, fruit and mild hops. Medium-bodied with flavors of peaty malt, bourbon, fruit and earthy hops. The finish is mildly smoky with a malty aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottle thanks to Tom. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head that last. The aroma is strong roasted malt, wood, chocolate. Nice roast, low oxidation, held up very well, really enjoyed this one.

Bottle @ home via rotbox. Pours a deep reddish brown appearance with a lasting brown head. Plenty of dark fruit (prune, dark grape, plum, date) in the nose with a bit of almonds. Light leather. A little bit tart. Slight vinegar taste. Caramel, red grape, plum flavor. Decent body. Not all that boozy. Pretty decent but I was a bit surprised by the tartness.

22oz bottle pours an oily black with zero head. Nose has malt, a little pumpernickel, booze, rootbeer. Flavor is sweet, cherry, rootbeer, bread, chocolate, rye. Oily finish. Not real good.
