Bottle shared at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks mom for this bottle! Cloudy yellow with a white head. Mildly sourish aroma with wort, huskiness, yeast, bread, corn and some fruity notes. Sweetish flavor with wort and yeast, fruity, estery, a bit sourish, with a mildly bitterish finish. Rather light-bodied. Quite drinkable, but nothing like a Pilsener. A bit like a cheap Hefeweizen.

sweet malty and slightly cloying but not bad. Not a ton of wheat character in here.

330 ml bottle from a steamed bun vendor at Miyajima. Poured into a hotel glass. Murky brown with off-white head that fades rapidly. Aromas of green apple, floral and vegetal notes. Tastes of apples, herbs, lime citrus. Light body with a dry finish. Strange. Not enjoyable, dumping this one.

On tap at Ibaraki Bakuon. An opaque gold with a filmy white head quite good looking. It has a light fruity and weizen clove aroma. The taste is a solid wheatiness with light cloves and a certain breadiness. I am not a huge fan of wheat beers but this is pretty decent.

Tap. Deep, cloudy orange-brown color. Aromas of caramel, or more like toffee, stone fruits, and some phenols. Syrupy and tangy, very sweet and fruity at first, a bit bitter in the end. Something not really right here.
