Vielen Dank an Erzengel! Klare goldgelbe Farbe, mittelgroße weiße Schaumkrone. Geruch brotig süß, sehr getreidig. Geschmack malzig süß, getreidig, brotig, nicht gut!

500ml bottle: BBD 9th July. Poured into an old Schlossbrau Pils stemmed glass (three times). This beer is an old friend. I used to buy packs of 10 x 33cl stumpy bottles when I lived in Germany: bright yellow carrying boxes known as Herfy Handbags by all the Royal Air Force lads back then. Anyway back to today: mown the lawn, reward this! Pours the regular clean golden yellow you’d expect from a Lager/Pilsner, the white head hung around though, so makes a change, as they normally fade swiftly on this style of beer in my opinion. Dry compared to most German Pilsners but with the same crispness and cleanliness you’ll get from them all. Not a big aromatic or flavoursome beer, just refreshing and thirst quenching. No serious sense provoking subtleties or hidden quirks but a solid, no nonsense beer.

0,33 l bottle. Pours out in a mid golden, mighty white foamy head. Mash, malt and grain with sweetness on the nose. Boring taste, little bit grainy, citrus sweetness, grassy, but nothing that can convince.

On tap @ Zum Kachelofen, Hahnenklee. Pours clear golden with rocky but stable white head. Clear aroma of yeast and malt, with hoppy notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of yeast and malt and rather persistent touches of metal. Estery aftertaste with bitter and cardboardlike hints. Low carbonation. Rather watery. Nothing to write home about.

Can at home, present from my mates Hardy and Elsa. Pours yellow, clear, with a thick head. Aroma of some grass and hay, bready. Sweet taste -- too sweet for me. Finish has some bitterness. Taste does not last very long, this is a pretty boring, flat beer.

* Süßlich-und leicht künstliches Bier. Die Grapefruit-Limonade macht einen unrunden Eindruck und passt sich nicht optimal in das Gesamtbild ein. Fruchtig-leicht herber Nachgeschmack mit einer limonadig-dominierenden Süße.

* Old rating, 0,33l bottle, best before 05.2003. Ingredients: Water, barley malt, hop extract. Bernsteinfarbenes, süßlich-mildes Bier. Der höhere Alkoholgehalt schlägt sich in einer malzig-süßlichen Note wieder, dazu eine leicht muffige aber moderate Herbe.

* Old rating. 0,33l, best before 01.2007. Malzig-trockener Antrunk. Erstaunlich deutlich zeichnen sich trockene Röstmalzaromen ab, eine muffige Herbe im Hintergrund passt sich ein. Der Nachgeschmack ist angenehm trocken-malzig, nette Röstmalzaromen mit moderater Herbe.
