Bottle, I haven't a clue where I got this from, maybe last time we were in Hesse en route to a festival in 2022 I think? Had this Saturday 24th May 2025 sat in the living room after a hard day of gardening work. We're watching Peripheral on Amazon Prime after Steak Burritos in the wood oven sat outside on the new patio area. Pours black, slim off white head, chocolate and fruit on the nose a clear fruity tang (blackcurrant) in the mouth. Soft mouthfeel, easy drinking for the abv, decent stout that despite being out of date tasted absolutely fine.

Gusher. Gold with a big, foamy head. Aroma both metallic and grassy. Taste is bitter with herbal and metallic hints. Very faint tartness at finish. Medium-bodied, moderate carbonation. Not much fun.

330ml bottle [courtesy of Meike - thank you very much!]. Slightly cloudy, amber colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Relatively weak, floral-grassy-herbal-fruity-resinous-piney hoppy aroma, pale and caramel malty background, an amalgam of unspecific hop flavours. Taste is moderately bitter, resinous, piney and slightly citrusy fruity hoppy, sweet-ish, pale and caramel malty basis, hints of lemon, otherwise rather unspecific fruitiness; not the straight, immediate kind of crisp hop bitterness, more the delayed, background acting type. Slightly oily texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, soft carbonation. Nice, harmonious composition, not overly intense though - OK.

330ml bottle [courtesy of Meike, thanks a lot!]. Opalescent, amber colour with small, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally toasty, nutty, malty aroma, minimally floral, grassy hoppy overtones. Taste is minimally toasty, nutty malty, floral-grassy hoppy, subtle residual sweetness, a touch of malt lozenge, toffee, red berries. Oily-watery texture, smooth, super-soft, silky palate, fine, soft, almost creamy, still efficacious and mildly prickly carbonation. Mild and mellow, balanced, very nice mouthfeel - good.

Bottle picked up from Rewe, Wetzlar, Hesse and consumed at a StellePlatz, Gerbrunn, Nr Würzburg about 4.5km sat outside Frank Sunday 14th August 2022. Pours murky brown with a white head, maltiness and some toffee and caramel flavours, it's a little bit chewy, tastes quite good.

Bottle picked up from Getränke Wallbruch, Wetzlar, Hesse and consumed at Haldern Music Festival Saturday 13th August 2022 sat outside Frank. Cannot determine the colour as drinking from my festival glass, smokey but quite nicely done. A little sausage, there is a little sweeteness. Good.

Bottle picked up from Rewe, Wetzlar and consumed at Haldern Music Festival Friday 12th August 2022 sat outside. Pours dark gold with a white head. A clear malty and hoppy interplay going on here, light fruity a decent bitterness, a little spicy edge, quite good and a big step up from the Hefe Weisse and 7 Hop bottles we had earlier.

Bottle picked up from Rewe at Wetzlar, Hesse and consumed at Haldern Music Festival, Friday 12th August 2022 sat outside Frank after a swim at the lake. Pours murky gold with a white head. A fruity and edgy Weissbier, seems to have moved away from typical examples of this style, a nudge of tropical fruit but no yeastyness, banana, clove and none of the refreshing vibes I was expecting, it's Ok.
