0.33 l bottle from 'Holy Craft Beer Store', best before August 2022. Almost clear, deep ruby with a massive, dense, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, quite fruity aroma of caramel, some chocolate, raisins, burnt sugar and nuts. Slightly sweet, gently bitter, quite fruity taste of caramel, raisins, nuts, some chocolate and light leaves, followed by a medium long, gently bitter, rather dry, a little roasty and quite earthy finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, average carbonation. Quite deep for 6.1% abv, really well-balanced, fairly quaffable. Good one!

0.33 l bottle from 'Holy Craft Beer Store', best before December 2022. Clear, very dark ruby to black with a medium large, foamy, stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, minimally fruity aroma of caramel, vanilla, raisins and light chocolate. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, minimally fruity taste of caramel, nuts, chocolate, vanilla and light raisins, followed by a short, slightly bitter, moderately roasty, a but woody and minimally earthy finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite tasty, definitely well-brewed, but I like the fruity Doppelbocks better.

0.33 l bottle from 'Holy Craft Beer Store', best before April 2022. Slightly hazy, deep amber with a medium large, foamy,, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, rather herbal-spicy, gently fruity aroma of basil, citrus, light lemon balm and some hay. Hardly sweet, gently bitter, fairly herbal-spicy, slightly fruity taste of lots of basil, hay, some citrus and light grains, followed by a medium long, quite bitter, fairly dry, slightly chalky, very herbal-spicy finish. Thin body, rather effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. At least it's what you could expect from a basil wit, but for me personally, that's way too much of it. Could be a nice addition if it was more subtle (see Lindemans Spontanbasil), but here it's overpowering. Bummer.

Bottle, danke Günther! Clear dark borwn, golden brown foam. Light poopy roast, medium body, dry tart to sour, some dark chocolate, herbal, light booze. Sour grain finish. A bit infected it seems.

330ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with ruby shimmer and average, frothy, slowly osteoporosing, minimally lacing, tan head. Sweet-ish, dark malty aroma, notes of malt lozenge, some dark caramel, nutty overtones, whiffs of dark, oily cocoa. Taste is dry, toasty, nutty, dark malty, moderately bitter hoppy, minimally diluted notes of malt lozenge, dark caramel, toasted nuts, some roasty hints of coffee, dark cocoa, some resinous hop. Oily texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, prickly carbonation. Can't get any chocolate to be honest, but a good deal of other dark malty flavours - very nice.
