Can courtesy of Kostas, Kykao brewery. Consumed at home Tuesday 9th June 2026 listening Huw Stephens on 6Music who are playing tracks from Primervera Festival. We're having Gorgonzola Macaroni Cheese with a nice salad. Pours very light silver colour with a very slight haze, a few stray bubbles dance across the surface. Refreshing, light/mid hoppiness, some tropical touches. It's nice, but it's not a beer. Score: 6.8

Can, huge thanks Fin&Loz! Shared with Hrabren and Ogi. Opaque lovely orange-golden body, no head. GI-bloody-NORMOUS aroma of sea buckthorn as it's poured out, salty, buckthorn-fecal, berry, lactic. Lean, dry salty tart berry taste. I still don't get the appeal of sea buckthorn except maybe in something already wild, and I'm not sure I ever will. Still, technically well made and nice to try. Think this one has some bug that dried it out some more. Maybe even not.

0.33 l bottle thanks to Marko, shared with Ogi and him. Dark brown, small off-white head. Aroma is soy sauce, dark fruit, grapes, vinous, some cardboard, some sour cabbage. Flavour is tart fruit, blackberry, prunes. Slightly harsh astringent sour notes. Hints of honey, bread and burnt toast. Finishes medium dry with a sweet dried fruit and tart fruit touch. Slightly messy, but one could say that's what they were going for.

Bottle courtesy of Kostas, Kykao brewery in the last box that he sent. Had this Saturday 4th April 2026 listening to Patrice Baumel on Tidal after a Lamb & Wild Garlic Lasagna. Pours looking just like a dirty muddy puddle, I also didn't see a head .After the slightly disappointing start the taste is actually very good, the nuttiness comes through, there's a nice thickness in the mouth, smooth, creamy, light milk chocolate, it's very moreish. Barrel ageing is subtle. Like this, just wished the appearance was better. Score 7.4

450ml can. Hazy, dark yellow-ish, golden colour with small to average, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Taste is juicy, tropical fruity and minimally perfumed, resinous, hoppy, sweet-ish, pale malty basis, lots of passion fruit and peach, further notes of physalis, mango, some orange, mild hop bitterness; lingering, resinous finish.
Oily-watery texture, smooth and minimallygreasy, simultaneously slightly dry palate, medium, dense, mildly prickly carbonation.
Very intense, immensely fruity, quite unique flavour profile due to the (seemingly) typical Kykao resinous touch - very good!
