Can courtesy of Kostas, Kykao brewery, cheers Kostas! Shared the beer with Jonas and Ursula at home Friday 16th May 2025. Pours clear light gold with a small white head. Quite earthy and herbal with a nice buzzy mouthfeel. I like this, it has rustic quality but if I were trying this blindfolded I really wouldn't have a clue how to categorise this, it doesn't taste like a DIPA, hoppiness is muted. Fine. Score 6.8

Date: Monday 26th January 2026. Okay need to up my rating for this. Kostas, Kykao brewery sent me a case of beers last week. This is great, there's a real Mediterranean herbal quality to this, okay it's not hugely hoppy or bitter but like Loz said we need to re-evaluate this, it's different but it's lovely, nice softness, I guess the Sabro hops are doing their thing. Score 7.3

Can courtesy of Kostas, Kykao brewery and consumed at home, shared with Jonas and Ursula Friday 16th May 2025. Very nice, very summery. Light sourness, funky and super easy drinking, cannot quite believe that it's 10%. Great beer, Kykao do this spontaneous fermented beer brilliantly.

Can courtesy of Kostas who kindly sent me a case of beer last week. Having this Friday 9th May 2025 cooking Brazilian Black Bean Stew and about to put some music on. Pours hazy yellow with a large white head, soft mouthfeel, bitterness doesn't feel to pushy but this is really drinkable, a little citrus juicy edge, really like this.

Can courtesy of Kostas, Kykao brewery received this week. Consumed at home Friday 2nd May 2025 listening to Viagra Boys - Viagr Aboys and cooking Souvlaki on the BBQ with Minty Potatoes, Fiery Mango Relish, Tsatsiki and and Salad. Difficult to know how different this is to the West Coast IPA I have already rated from Kykao, but label certainly seems new to me. Pours milky yellow in colour, white head, immediately struck by hoppy burps. Very hoppy, bitter and yet this does have a different twist to a regular US brewed as crystal malt appears to be conspicuous by its absence and there is a soft rounded mouthfeel, however it's a very nice beer, seems almost like a crossover from a NEIPA to a West Coast IPA but in a 30/70 configuration. --- Beer merged from original tick of West Coast IPA on 24 Feb 2022 at 17:54 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5. Original review text: Can courtesy of Kostas, Kykao brewery cheers mate 👍 consumed at home Thursday 24th February 2022 listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music. Making homemade Pizza tonight. Pours with a light haziness (unfiltered?) tarnished gold with a white head. Not so much floral notes as description suggests, there is a light citrus note. Taste is citrussy, primarily grapefruit but with a brisk fruity bite, mid bitterness, not sweet, certainly not harsh as Marduk suggests, drying at the finish. Quite good, but it's interesting when breweries go for the cleaner tasting pale West Coast IPA as opposed to the big crystal malt laden beasts that the likes of Sierra Nevada, Stone etc excel in. Whilst there is a decent sized white head, there is still a slight lack of carbonation.

Canned 440ml. -Courtesy of Marko, shared with him & Hrabren. Lemony yellow coloured, no head at all, white wine in the nose. Yeasty, bit perfumed white wine and mild citrusy touch in the finish. Even slightly plastic notes.

Can, 2022, enormous thanks to Fin and Loz! Shared with Hrabren and Ogi. Misty yellow body, no head really. Very pungent aroma - pineapple, tropical notes, white grapes, lightly rubbery, but within wine parameters, quite wine-like, pleasant by all means. Lean, dry taste, bit yeasty, rubbery white grapes, light herbal notes, some tartness, perfumey, bit floral, lightly citric, the malty backbone is lightly minerally, meaning it lost some freshness, but I love the mouthfeel.
