Description
Bøgedal is Scandinavia’s only all-gravity brewery and is boiled over an open fire using local wood as fuel. Bøgedal’s brewing method is an attraction in itself, since the brew flows freely (all gravity), from vat to vessel, without pumping, creating different levels by use of hand-powered hoists and pulleys.

Bottle, English tekst on bottle in stead of Danish, mentioning minimal 5.5 years bottle matured. Color: Very dark ruby brown, fast disappearring very thin beige head. Aroma: Sweetish, notes of dark sugar, licorice and caramel, dark dried fruit. Taste: Medium to over medium sweet, pretty strong notes of dark dried stone fruit, some caramel, raisins and sugar. Hints of licorice. Moderate to medium bitterness. Subtle boozy hints. Very long lasting sweetish and moderate bitter finish. Sirupy and bit sticky mouthfeel. Over medium to full body, low carbonation. A dessert beer indeed. Complex, all flavours are well balanced. Nice.
