Bottle from Steengaard, Beder. Almost black with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, chocolate and light rum. Flavor is quite sweet and light bitter. Light dry finish. 130124

Flaske fra Steengaard, Beder. Sort med et flot hvidt skum. Aromaen er fad, ristet malt og chokolade. Den er sød og fyldig og har en smule syre til sidst.

Bottle at Torben Mathews tasting. Pours hazy amber with large offwhite head. Aroma is malt, caramel, sultana raisins, gooseberry, green grapes and sherry. Taste is medium sweet, light bitter and faint acidic. Body is oily with soft carbonation. Finish is long and mostly sweet with intense oak, wine gum, PX sherry, mint, raisins, roasted nuts, fudge and hints of fennel, mild anise and grapefruit. Very delicious.

Frothy lightbrown fair mostly diminishing head. Black colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter fnish. Very peasted. Creamy palate.

Sample (thanks omhper!). Deep brown colour, small brown head. Aroma is toffee, herbs, mild berries and some slight bourbon and vanilla. Flavour is smoked wet wood, some bourbon, vanilla and mild toffee tones with some herbs. Not burning in anyway and the smoked tones are rather mild. On the verge of actually being watery.

Bottle. A clear looking dark brown beer with a beige head. Some lacing. Roasted malts, coffee, dark dried fruit and a gentle boozyness in the aroma. Some brown sugar. It's full bodied and lightly warming, sweet but not too sweet, and with a gentle herbal bitterness. Roasted malts and caramel, brown sugar and prunes, booze and a spiced hint in the flavor. Lasting finish. A nice one, with a gentle and pleasant rum touch. 230810

DØE Ølfestival 2023. Pale brown amber with a tiny white head. Fruity and funky aroma. Dry and tart, funky, but clean and crisp fruity flavour.
