16 oz. can, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has huge bourbon barrel character upfront, followed by maple, vanilla beans, and dark sugar. Flavour is intense, with tons of maple syrup, brown sugar, and a touch of bourbon. Tons of maple and dark sugars. The barrel is more detectable on the nose than the flavour. It's not the most complex or elegant impie stouts, but it works well-enough.

Poured from an undated 16 oz can. Aroma is fairly hop forward with strong notes of grapefruit, tangerine and tropical citrus. Lighter notes of passion fruit, strawberry and dank, oily resin. Light cracker malt and alcohol notes. Pours a hazy, murky, dull, straw color with a medium sized, thick, pillowy, white head that recedes steadily to a small film that lingers. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with light cracker malt notes. Medium bitterness and light alcohol notes. Moderately strong hop notes of grapefruit, tropical citrus and passion fruit. Lighter notes of strawberry, lychee and dank, oily resin. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid hazy IPA. Nice hop notes in aroma and flavor. Balanced malt notes, bitterness and alcohol.

Capped 500 from Total Wine in Vacaville, CA. Pours bright gold with a transient slight white head. Aroma suggests pedio. Med body. It's sour and tart. Definitely some pedio. Some floral hop perhaps. Citrus is likely. A bit astringent. With time buckwheat can be perceived. Wish I could perceive Brett.
