Sample from 30 (8.8%) and 33cl (9.5%) bottle, thanks for tonight’s beers Potje! Murky amber-brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of a hint of peat, earth, sweet malts, caramel, leafy hops, green tea. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, leafy bitter, tea, earth, liquorice root, light peat/fingerpaint, light floral, firm and raw bitter finish. 9.5% version was a bit more mellow and balanced imho.

Bottle @ benzai. Huge chunks in my glass, huge off-white head and murky amber beer. Smells cheese, moldy, feet, malts. Tastes ladybug. Not even kidding. If you’ve played outside a lot you’ll recognise it instantly. Maybe some fingerpaint on the side. Bizar. Medium body, soft carbo. This taste cannot be intended. Might be a bad bottle or something.

30 cl bottle @ home. Golden color, hazy. A bit frothy white head, with reasonable retention. Aroma’s: wheat, fruity, light roasted, light vegetal. Retronasal there’s more to it: light sweet, wheat fruity, light bitter, just hints of oaky tannines and light alcohol. Flavor is light sweet, fruity, just slightly bitter. Alcohol doesn’t feel very strong, but it is warming a bit. Light to medium bodied. Finishes with a light bitterness. The port/wood is hardly noticeable, but the beer is decent enough.
