7 3 7 3 15 Cask at the brewpub. Black with a tan head. Aroma of light chocolate, dark malts, light roast, overripe dark fruits and caramel. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Light medium bodied with soft carbonation.

On tap as Animal Army Sea Lion’s IPA at Fiddler’s brewpub, the Hague. Pours hazy amber topped with thin white head. A gentle fruity nose with some grassiness. Moderately bitter with ladting aftertaste. Best of the tasting flight.

On tap at the brewpub as Animal Army Cream Bee. Pitch black, topped with beige head. Roasty malt with some chocolate notes in the aroma. Taste is similar, slightly sweet with decent roastiness. A bit too light on the body and a bit too burnt in the finish. But not that bad.

On tap at the brewpub in Den Haag as Animal Army Redhead. Pours coppery topped with smaller offwhite head. Malty nose, a bit smelly with some caramel biscuity notes. Taste medium bittery with malty back. Nothing special, much like their other brews.

On tap at the bewpub as Animal Army Lion’s Den. Pours dark golden topped with offwhite head. Mild malty nose, a bit smelly actually. Bittery start with slight malty back. Light. Nothing to write home about.

As Animal Army Albino Fox. Cask, part of tasting flight. Golden colour, smaller white head. Grassy nose with a touch of fruitiness. Taste similar. Low bitterness. Light body. Nothing to get too excited about.

flesje via trade met @Sjogo, bedankt ! 2/19. schenkt wazig ongefilterd gouden met oranje gloed en witte kraag. Aroma is wel goed vers, hop, fruitig (sinaasappel, mango, abrikoos. jam), Smaken zijn fris, lekker fruitig, met name de abrikoos en de jam achtige tonen domineren, daarna wat sinaasappel, gist, mout, matig zoet, licht bitter, wat suiker, wat aan de dunne kant, maar voor in een brewpub te drinken is er helemaal niets mis mee. ik snap de lage beoordelingen dan ook niet.... echter na een tijdje wordt de gist en mout iets bepalender.

Cask handpump at The Fiddler Brewpub, Den Haag, Sunday 2nd October 2016 Pours hazy gold with a white head. Creamy in the mouth, not really IPA territory at all, it’s ok but more like a rather ordinary UK golden ale, much like the Fuzzy Bear this is ok but no great shakes. A6 A3 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0
