Description

Bottle from Speciaal Bier Bodegraven, BB 06 2016, large sample. Clear dark golden to orange color, short frothy head. Aroma of sweet apples, bit spicy, bit peppery, bit flowery hops, sweet banana candy. Apply sweetness in taste, slight alcohol, bit dry. Apple is usually unintended, but it happens quite often at sallandse. Mainly because they suck at brewing.

Bottle at the 42nd floor tasting thanks to Cloin. It pours opaque brown-black with a thick light tan head. The nose is rich, toasty, dark chocolate, rocky road, chocolate torte and perhaps a touch of funk. The taste is bitter, rich, roast, toasted earth, charred wood, pepper, burnt pine and some soapy citrus. Medium+ body and moderate foamy carbonation. Perhaps it errs towards being too dry. Not too shabby anyways.
