Founded in 1650 by Heinrich de Lapière, the Autenried Schlossbrauerei (castle brewery) was owned by the nobility until 1912. The family tradition begins in 1912 when Alois Rudolph bought the brewery. In 1964 Alois Rudolph handed over the business to his nephew Leonhard Feuchtmayr. Rudolf Feuchtmayr has been running the Autenried Schlossbrauerei since 1993. With their son Peter Feuchtmayr, the family brewing tradition continues into the youngest generation to this day.

Optisch fast schwarz, poröser Schaum. In der Nase Malz, Schokolade. Im Trunk erst recht wässrig, hinten raus aber besser, dezent bitter, Schokolade. Könnte man noch besser machen, so leider nur Durchschnitt.

0.5 l bottle from 'Craftbeershop.com', best before April 2024. Very hazy, orange with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish-malty, quite yeasty-spicy slightly fruity aroma of banana, clove, some vanilla and a touch of pear. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, rather yeasty-spicy and a bit fruity taste of banana, clove, nutmeg, vanilla, pear, hints of honey and traces of nuts, followed by a short, gently bitter, a little boozy finish. Medium to full body, very smooth and quite effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Pleasant Weizenbock, ticks all the boxes.

0.5 l bottle from 'Craftbeershop.com', best before December 2023. Hazy, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish-malty, gently yeasty-spicy aroma of banana, some clove and light honey. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, slightly yeasty-spicy taste of banana, bubblegum, clove, grains and some vanilla, followed by a short, hardly bitter, minimally dry finish. Almost medium-bodied, fairly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Very nice NA Weizen with quite some yeast character, much more than in most examples within the style. And way better than their Helles!

0.5 l bottle from 'Craftbeershop.com', best before November 2023. Clear, golden with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, slightly malty and quite musty aroma of grains, light straw and some cooked corn. Slightly sweet, quite dry, gently malty taste of grains, cooked corn and a touch of straw, followed by a short, slightly bitter, watery finish. Thin body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very hard to finish, hardly enjoyable, one of the worst NA beers in a long time.
