Draught at the brewpub, on May 25, 2015.As Maibock 16 degree, guessing under here and not a new beer.Hazy amber color, white to off-white head. Sweet, fruity, a bit malty scent. Herbal, alcohol taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

Keg at the brewpub, Prague Day 2 of Fergus and Sarah’s Czech jaunt. 30/09/14. Bright orange pink coloured pour with a candy sloss pink head. Aroma is sharp tart raspberry, sweet syrup somewhat fake but pretty good. Flavour is composed of tart raspberry, wheaty bready grains, bit sweet and sugary. Palate is sweet, sticky wheaty grains, high carbonation. Pretty good overall.

Keg at the brewpub, Prague Day 2 of Fergus and Sarah’s Czech jaunt. 30/09/14. Opaque black / dark caramel coloured pour with a lasting cream head. Aroma is woody, earthy roast, toast and twigs. Flavour is composed of dried fruits, semi-sweet, jammy fruits. Lingering earth and hint of choc. Palate is sweet, fullish body. Pretty drinkable.

Aroma is rubbing alcohol, wheaty grains, woody, touch of banana. Flavour is compsed of biscuit, banana, alcohol, apple. Some noticeable off flavours. Palate is medium sweet, highish carbonation. Pretty bad.

Flavour is tart apple, caramel biscuity malts, stale grains. Maybe a little oxidisation. Palate is touch sweet, highish carbonation. Lingering apple / woody notes and a bit stale.

Tap( Polotmavý ležák typu Märzen@Prague 11 suburban neighbourhood festival, September 2014): Amber coloured, hazy, mid-sized off-white head; bready-malty nose with fruity-yeasty traces underneath, very few spicy hops detectable; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied and a bit sticky; some hops are present in the all in all malty finish. Tame by czech standards…

Tap: Pale golden to golden, hazy, stable creamy and lacy white head;pale malt and mild Saazy hops in the nose, "Holunder" (černý bez) barely detectable, bohudik;dryish bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied, soft and creamy MF; slightly lingering Saazy and pale-malty finish. Pleasant and refreshing…

Ich weiß nicht wessen Geschmack man hier treffen will, aber da auch kaum ein Prager dieses Bier im Lokal getrunken hat, halte ich es eher etwas für Spezialisten.

Eigentlich sind die tschechischen Dunklen wirklich gut -vor allem wenn sie von kleinen Brauereien kommen. Bei diesem fiel mir vor Ort aber auf, dass es fast niemand bestellte, sondern alle bei den hellen Sorten blieben. Ich ließ mich natürlich nicht abschrecken und bestellte mir eines. Und ich muss sagen, es gibt bessere. Es hat schon gang nette Noten, aber hat nicht die Aromentiefe, die andere Dunkle aus der Gegend schaffen und wirkt dadurch aber gekünstelt und so ehrlich. NIcht schlecht, aber es gibt bessere im Haus und von der Sorte.

getrunken 2014 im gleichnamigen Brauerei-Restaurant, das am Stadtrand von Prag in einem unscheinbaren, hässlichen Plattenbau (cz.: panelák) untergebracht ist. Innen ist es aber wirklich schön gemütlich eingerichtet und man kann in entspannter Atmospäre sein Bier umringt von einheimischen Hacklern genießen. Das 12-grädige Helle ist das klassische Hausbier, das sich auch wirklich schön trinken lässt. Es ist nicht so verspeilt wie manchen Craftbier, aber durchaus solide und passt gut zum Essen und zum Feierabend. Ein Bier von dem man gerne vor Ort ještě jedno,prosím (dt.: Noch eines, bitte!) bestellt.
