Cask-conditioned at the Inn on the Green, Bristol. Golden coloured with a decent white head. Aroma of hay and citrus/grassy hops. Flavour had some initial sweetness before a decent dry finish. Refreshing and very similar to Cotleigh 25.

Cask conditioned at the Bag OโNails, Bristol 22/5/07. Copper coloured with a slight head. Aroma of grassy hops followed by a well-balanced flavour of hops and biscuity malt. Good dry finish. Very pleasant.

Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms JDW, Bristol 16/11/07. Very light, sweet malt aroma whiff the merest whiff of grassy hop. Touch of hops in the mouth, with a slightly sweet, short finish. Ok.

[i] Cask at The Penny Black, JDW, Bicester, 11-11-07 [/i] Poured mid amber in colour. and startled me by being almost christmasy with sherry like flavours at first but this gradually disappears and some more subtle biscuit and malts come through. Overall I found this to be a beer that didnโt quite know what it was or trying to be.

Bottle from ASDA for ยฃ1. Aroma of dark fruit with a hit of roasted malt. Flavour had some chocolate and more fruit before a slightly bitter finish. Good.

Bottle from ASDA. Ruby-red with a decent off-white head that left a lot of lacing. Fruity malt aroma with some roasted notes. Flavour of caramel and red fruit with a touch of coffee to finish. A very good bottled beer.

Cask handpull at Wenlock Arms. Chestnut. Thin beige head. Looks in good condition. So itโs a strong bitter/ESB with an odd marzipan almond flavour. Not terribly good. OK hop on end, but lacks malt/backbone for such a strong ABV. Aroma has some hop.

Cask @ GBBF 2007. Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Fruity malty caramel aroma. Frutiy malty hoppy caramel flavor. Sweet malty finish with some bitterness in the aftertaste.

Cask at Three Judges. An orange-amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel and a lightly bitter finish.

(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of yngwie. Slightly hazy, orangey brown with an off-white head leaving some laces. Somewhat fat, malty aroma with a whiff of nuts. Medium body, dry nutty malt and a rather hoppy finish. Quite decent. 180807
