Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy intense aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Long moderate bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Can @ Fonefan tasting. Hazy amber with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, chocolate and nutty. Flavor is very sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish with lots of alcohol. 040425

Can. Black, a very brief tan coat. Aroma is roasty with dark sugars, some prunes, mocha. Quite sweet but firm bitterness sweeps in fairly quickly. More prominent chocolate, darkish roast, bready bulk. Very nice bittersweet chocolate meets hop and roasted bitterness at the end - as ever, I am a sucker for a good finish.

Can, bb 1/26. Golden amber, loosish white head. Aroma of mandarin, white grapes, grass, hints of grapefruit, light bread. Light bodied, getting towards empty. Still quite fruity though with some grass, resin and pepper coming through towards the moderately bitter finish.

Appearance is oily black, a few fizzy bubbles but no head really. Aroma is lots of chocolate, coffee, maple, dark fruit, bourbon, vanilla, oaky hints, espresso, chocolate fudge, roast malt. Taste is sweet maple, chocolate, coffee, earthy malt, caramel, chocolate torte, spicy malt, bourbon, vanilla, earthy barrel, spicy chocolatey finish with maple syrup. Whisky barrel is prominent but still well-integrated. Very well-done.

I ordered this online and my sister brought it over from Australia last year… Bacchus Yuletide Festive Stout 13% Deep inky black with a dense rusty tan foam. It has a BIG vanilla candied fruit and coffee aroma with chocolatey notes. Full bodied the tastes delivers the coffee notes, then roasty dark malts before the maple, hazelnuts and vanilla kick in. Full bodied with a lush velvety smooth mouthfeel and a pleasing warmth in my belly. Really good stuff.

Panda thanks to Wingman. Near clear dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, mildly dry, good fine carbonation. Smooth dark chocolate malts, a little cream, chocolate cake. Mellow bourbon barrel aged ripe fruits. Light finish. Very easy drinking for the style.
