Description

75 cl bottle @ hotel room. Aroma has leathery apple tones. Also apple peel. Flavour has sweet and a bit acidic apples, apple peel and juicy tones. Also hints of flour. A bit too stuffy and sweet. Or just too "apple-juice -like."

Bag in Box at George Croydon. It pours clear gold - amber with no head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, earthy funk, spice, apple pie, must and gooseberry crumble. The taste is pretty sweet actually, stewed apple, toffee, tart tatin, apple juice from concentrate and caramelised sugars. The finish is eventually dry and earthy. Medium body, still and oily mouth - feel. The aroma is promising, but the taste is ultimately a bit sweet and cloying.
