Bottle at the flat in Sofia - picked up from Pivoteka online. Pours clear, deep brown with a foamy, khaki head. Light-medium sweet with rich toasted malts, a little smoke, cocoa, burnt biscuits, light earthy bitterness, burnt toffee. Light to medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Rounded finish, more light roast, burnt toast, nips of raisins and cocoa. Delicious.

Keg at Nosferatu - Sofia. Pours just lightly hazed gold with a tight, creamy white head. Light-medium sweet with fresh citrus fruits, soft pale mats, light rindy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Balanced finish, some tangerine, lemon, grapefruit, melon. Accomplished stuff.

Blind tasting. Smell is caramelly, tad sweet, mild dryness. Rather low intensity. Taste is a bit bitter, dryness from the esters, yet no overkill estery beer. Mild caramel touch, much less than expected. Medium bitterness, white bread. Bit sharo in the Carbo, but not overly so. Very mild peppery note.

Bottle at Kanaal Sofia.� Clear gold colour . no head. Dortmund hell style. decent malts. decent hops. noble hop flavour. Good bitterness on the finish. decent and good to style. needs to be softer. bit harsh.
