Description
Platform was founded in 2014 on the premise that collaboration should be at the cornerstone of everything that we do. Whether it be with pro brewers, the home brewing world or a variety of other industries, beer is special and should be shared.
From humble beginnings, brewing on a 3 bbl brewhouse in Cleveland, Platform has expanded to a second Tasting Room in Columbus, a Production Facility in Cleveland, a Cincinnati Tasting Room named LOCOBA and a Sour Beer Facility named Phunkenship
We brew high-quality craft beers for sale in our tasting rooms and distribute throughout Ohio. Expect a mix of ever-changing styles inspired by beer trends.

Sample at the Columbus taproom. Dark brownish-amber color with a medium light beige head that diminishes gradually to a film. Sheets of lace on the glass. The aroma consists of roast malt, chocolate and piney hops. Light to medium body with flavors of charred malt, chocolate and mild resiny hops. The finish is sweet with a mildly smokey malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Reddish. Berry forward, tart, candy like. Not overly sweet, but very fruity. Medium bodied. Finish is tart with fruit but dies quick. Decent.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 11/5/2017. Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tart lemon, lime, orange peel, pear, red/green apple, sea salt, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/acidic yeast, orange peel, salt, pale malt, blossom water, and light earthy hop notes; with good strength. Taste of tart lemon, lime, orange peel, pear, red/green apple, sea salt, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness; light fruit/wheat tang, and herbal/citrus peel bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart lemon, lime, orange peel, pear, red/green apple, sea salt, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, floral, grass, light pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, orange peel, salt, pale malt, blossom water, and light earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/tartness balance; and zero puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from tang/tartness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, creamy/grainy/acidic, and lightly saline/sticky/tangy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.2%. Overall this is a delicious Gose. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/acidic yeast, orange peel, salt, pale malt, blossom water, and light earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, and refreshing to drink; with the modestly lactic/tangy/drying finish. Great balance between the Lacto, orange peel, blossom water, and sea salt; with a nice malt backbone to balance acidity. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.
