Description
Platform was founded in 2014 on the premise that collaboration should be at the cornerstone of everything that we do. Whether it be with pro brewers, the home brewing world or a variety of other industries, beer is special and should be shared.
From humble beginnings, brewing on a 3 bbl brewhouse in Cleveland, Platform has expanded to a second Tasting Room in Columbus, a Production Facility in Cleveland, a Cincinnati Tasting Room named LOCOBA and a Sour Beer Facility named Phunkenship
We brew high-quality craft beers for sale in our tasting rooms and distribute throughout Ohio. Expect a mix of ever-changing styles inspired by beer trends.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 7/10/2017. Pours lightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of juicy watermelon, tart lemon, lime, peach, pear, red/green apple, sea salt, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, grass, light lacto funk/pepper, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of watermelon, fruity/acidic yeast, sea salt, and pale malt notes; with solid strength. Taste of juicy watermelon, tart lemon, lime, peach, pear, red/green apple, sea salt, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, grass, light lacto funk/pepper, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness; light fruit tang, bitterness, and peppery spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of watermelon, tart lemon, lime, peach, pear, red/green apple, sea salt, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, herbal, grass, light lacto funk/pepper, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of watermelon, fruity/acidic yeast, sea salt, and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/tartness balance, and zero puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Moderate increasing dryness from tart/tangy/spiciness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, fairly acidic/sticky/tangy, and lightly saline balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 4.2%. Overall this is a delicious gose. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of watermelon, fruity/acidic yeast, sea salt, and pale malt flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink; with the mellowly acidic/tangy finish. Not as acidic as I expected, but definitely adequate. Very flavorful and never watery for the ABV. Authentic watermelon flavors with balanced Lacto fruitiness; nice bready pale/wheat/Vienna malt backbone, and not overly salty. No Jolly ranchers or cucumber notes from the watermelon, which I really liked. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

12 ounce can into snifter, canned on 11/28/2017. Pours lightly hazy reddish orange/copper color with a 1 finger fairly dense cream colored head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, plum, raisin, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, spicy rye, bread crust, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/roast, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Very slight booze in the aromas as it warms. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/pine hops, dark/bready/rye malt, and light-moderate fruity yeast notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, plum, raisin, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, spicy rye, bread crust, toasted biscuit, light nuttiness/roast, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate pine/citrus peel/herbal/grassy hop bitterness and rye spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, plum, raisin, lemon/orange peel, pepper, pine, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, spicy rye, bread crust, toasted biscuit, nuttiness, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/pine hops, dark/bready/rye malt, and light-moderate fruity yeast flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness and rye spiciness balance; with zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness. Medium carbonation and fairly full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, fairly sticky, and lightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Mildly warming alcohol for 11%. Overall this is an awesome American barleywine. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/pine hops, dark/bready/rye malt, and light-moderate fruity yeast flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the ABV; with the mellowly bitter/drying finish, never aggressive. Very impressive juicy citrus/fruity hop and yeast complexity; with nicely rich dark/bready/rye malt balance. Never overly sweet, some nice lingering bitter dryness. Comet and Cascade hops. A really enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Bodney Towers bottleshare. Thanks to Scopey for the can. Light haze on this paleish gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, slightly soft, modest fine carbonation. Soft malts. Modest tangy pineapple. Mellow floralness. Touch of dry seltzer. Smooth dry finish. Light savoury linger. Never gets going but it's all right.

Orange with a white head. Fruity, tropical aroma. Inviting. Flavor is a bit on the tangy side with a bit too hefty of a citrus note, for my liking. Rather sweet. Could be improved with a heftier bitter base. Still, tasty enough and fits the style.

200ml draught, shared with Finn at BrewDog Mitte. Hazed pale golden body, low beige head, dotted spots on the glass. Peachy nose, dry. Mid-tart fruity flavours of peaches and lemon, grainy malts beneath. Easy going. (Berlin 15.01.2018).
